    Description

    A hearty stew made with bacon, chicken, and lots of delicious cabbage.


    Ingredients

    • 3 Tablespoons (45 ml) coconut oil, to cook with
    • 2 chicken breasts, diced
    • 4 slices bacon, diced
    • 1/2 onion, diced
    • 1/2 cabbage, sliced
    • 3 cups (720 ml) water or chicken broth
    • Salt and pepper, to taste

    Instructions

    1. Sauce the chicken, bacon, and onion in the coconut oil until the chicken is browned.
    2. Add in the cabbage and water and bring to the boil.
    3. Cook for 1 hour on low heat with the lid on.  Add in salt and pepper, to taste.
