Is the Coronavirus the End of the World?

You would have to be hiding under a rock to not have heard everything about the Coronavirus. Lots of good advice has been given out about protecting yourself from catching this virus and as we all know at this time it’s a worldwide shutdown of everything. In terms of the virus there’s not much more that can be done to stop it at this time.

Common sense is going out the window in so many ways and the media is hyping this up big time with every program focusing on how to live locked in your home for weeks. I have to admit that one makes me laugh as I’ve been confined to my home for 30 years because of being bedridden. I’m used to it and know how to live in isolation. I realize the rest of the world doesn’t know how to be locked down. Perhaps there is a lesson people need to learn about slowing down and not having to be and go constantly. To me that’s one of the positives of this pandemic.

Many believe that this is the end of the world and that it’s a Biblical prophecy about the end times. I do not believe that this virus will wipe out a huge amount of the population worldwide. Yes, there will be deaths, but it will not wipe out ¾ of the population. In the Book of Revelations it talks about an epidemic that will wipe out ¾ populations as we’ve reached the end times. First off we are not at the end and secondly it is not going to kill the huge amount of people that the media wants you to think.

Here are examples throughout history of when people thought it would be the end of the world.
• People thought the Black Plague was the end of the world.
• World War 1 was thought to be the end of the world.
• World War 2 was also seen as the end of the world.
• Many felt that the World Trade Center attack was a sign of the end of the world.
• The Coronavirus will be the end of the world.
