On June 5, 2018, the news of Kate Spade’s suicide caused a stir, she was found dead in her own home. She was a famous American fashion designer and a very successful businesswoman. He was 55 at the time of his death. She was the founder and owner of the designer brand Kate Speed New York. His brand was very famous for handbags. Three days after the same news, on June 8, 2018, another celebrity reported suicide. It was the suicide of a famous American chef, writer, and TV personality Anthony Bourdain, known as Tony. In his programs, he highlighted international culture, cuisine, and livelihoods in various civilizations. He was one of the most influential chefs in the world. Anthony Bourdain was well known for writing travel documents. At the age of 61, his life ended in suicide. Anthony Bourdain committed suicide in a French hotel, where he was on his way to shooting a cooking show.  And the cause of their death was depression and mental stress. Symptoms of mental stress and depression may look alike but the main difference is that depression is more severe and lasting.

If we compare, one thing that the two have in common is to succeed in their own fields.

Apparently, they both had a comfortable life, a good career, and a good social status; yet there was something that was hidden, insider inside, and nobody knew.
The cause of their death was reported to be stressful, but both their family and friends were completely unaware of it and unaware of their mental strain. Most importantly, both were more than fifty years of age, called matured, where emotions are more consciously worked out.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO) report, suicidal tendencies are more prevalent among people aged 15 to 29 years. Knowing the suicide of these two, you must have understood the seriousness of stress.

After these two suicides, many celebrities became part of the awareness campaign on social media through social media; and tried to share their events with the message that being in depression was not a shame, but a medical condition. Which is possible to treat, and not to think of it as normal, but to fight it.

Here I would like to mention Deepika Padukone, who is a famous actress. She launched the Mental Pressure Awareness Campaign on social media and also told her story of how she herself suffered from depression and was treated in 2004.

What is the end of this mental strain? Depression is a common but serious medical illness. It negatively affects your feelings, your thinking, and your work. This causes you to feel anxious and sad, while the work you are happy to do will also reduce your interest in it. Mental stress can also have adverse effects on your body including loss of appetite, weight loss or overweight, difficulty sleeping or lack of sleep, feeling tired, feeling guilty or helpless. External signs, such as being difficult to understand and decide, etc.

The most dangerous phase of mental stress is thinking about obesity or suicide. If it is not treated in a timely manner, a person may be under stress and take extreme steps like suicide. According to the WHO, about 8 million people commit suicide annually around the world, meaning that about ten people commit suicide every ten minutes.

But fortunately, it is a curable disease, just like fever, TB, hepatitis, etc. are treatable. According to one study, one in every 15 adult adults suffers from mental stress; and one in every six people suffer from depression at some stage in their life. Women are more prone to depression than men. In 2018, some celebrity suicides raised many questions because of mental stress. They were the ones who were on the verge of success in their respective fields. So what were the factors that forced these people to commit suicide? The answers to these questions can hardly be found now, but such events force us to think.

Daily you will see suicidal events, reading the newspaper, watching TV, or exploring social media posts. Have you ever wondered why people commit suicide?

There are many reasons for suicide, but the biggest and most important reason is depression. Mental depression can happen to anyone, at any age, for any reason. Goddess understands its seriousness and should treat it like other diseases.

Timely diagnosis is very important. If you notice any signs of depression in your heart, feel free to tell your parents (and any close friends if they don’t), because timely diagnosis and treatment can help prevent this killer disease.

In the society we live in, we face many problems, economically, socially and socially, and it is natural to have depression. The need is to make timely treatment possible and to save ourselves and our loved ones from the disease.
